guillaume CUILLER
Directeur artistique

d

Guillaume Cuiller first studied oboe. He graduated from the CNSM in Lyon in 1999 with unanimous honors.  He was the principal oboist of the Pasdeloup orchestra for more than ten years and worked with numerous orchestras, such as the Paris Opera and the Paris Chamber Orchestra. At the same time, after having followed the teaching of Marcel Ponseele in baroque oboe at the CNSM of Paris, he joined various early music ensembles.

He now dedicates most of his work on period instruments by rediscovering the historical repertoire. As an oboist, he regularly collaborates with Les Musiciens du Louvre (Marc Minkowski), Le Concert Spirituel (Hervé Niquet), Artaserse (Philippe Jaroussky), Opera Fuoco (David Stern), Les Inventions (Patrick Ayrton), Pulcinella (Ophélie Gaillard) and Le Banquet Céleste (Damien Guillon)...

Holder of the Certificate of Aptitude for teaching oboe, he teaches at the CRC Maurice Ravel in Levallois.

By joining Stradivaria, he wants to explore a new repertoire with the orchestra, focusing on the classical period of the early 19th century - a repertoire that has a particular significance on period instruments. Above all, he wishes to reaffirm Stradivaria's commitment to Nantes and its region by working with local partners in order to reach out to all audiences. This role has been held by the ensemble for more than thirty years, while at the same time, the orchestra has been developing its international activities, which also has contributed to the influence of the region.
