Daniel CUILLER has personally commited to historical repertoires early during his career as a violonist, connecting practice on period instruments, research,
distribution and record production.

He created the Baroque orchestra of France in 1982, before taking the lead and the artistic direction of Stradivaria, Baroque orchestra from Nantes.
From 1984 and 2012, he became senior Professor of a violon and Chamber music class at the Conservatoire de Nantes. He also taught baroque violin at the Conservatoire de Paris and Sablé's International Academy of Early Music and Dance.

He was invited to supervise global early music programmes and to host master classes, in Helsinki, Oslo, Rome, Madrid, Calcutta, Taïwan, Beijing, Tokyo for instance. Furthermore, he led Arion Baroque Orchestra of Montreal and directed Jean-Féry Rebel's ballet music, a programme recorded by Early Music which received Opus Prize of the Best Concert and Best Album of 2006 in Montreal.

His solo discography on period instruments ((Sonates de Fontana, Corelli & Co, Fantaisies de Telemann, Concertos de Leclair, Corrette, Pergolèse) pairs with his numerous recordings achieved at the head of Stradivaria (Universal, Cyprès, K 617, Arion, Mirare) dedicated to early music and acclaimed by critics globally.

The reproduction of the lyric tragedy of Rebel and Francœur's "Pirame and Thisbé", in collaboration with Angers Nantes Opéra (2007), originates from his historical research at the Bibliothèque National de France (National Library of France). Later on, he wrote music of "Galantes Scènes", toured from 2010 to 2011. He unearth Henry Madin's "Te Deum" (1742), a "World Premiere Recording" included in the discographical collection of Alpha-Château de Versailles. An album which received awards fear its release in 2016, such as "Choc-Classica", "Clic de Classic News" and Télérama's"ffff". More recently, he directed a new production at Château de Versailles Spectacles' request: "La Querelle des Te Deum" (CVS - 2019 label).

In 2018, he was awarded the status of Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres, for significant contributions to the enrichment of the French cultural inheritance, by the French Minister of Culture, Mrs Françoise NYSSEN.
